German LW M40 SD Combat Helmet 'Battle of the Bulge'

In a very nice condition a German Luftwaffe M40 Single Decal Combat Helmet.
The helmet comes in size 64 and is maker marked by Quist.
The helmet shell has productionnumber N475 and is complete with the original attached liner and chinstrap.
The helmet was found in the ardennes originally and comes with 65% of it's original winterwash camouflage still attached to the outside helmet shell, next to the Luftwaffe decal that is still visible for 65%.
The helmet camouflage has on the front a cleaned marking/text 'MP' (Military Police?)
We don't know if this big marking was used in the aftermath of the Battle of the Bulge, or postwar, or as a trophy from US Military Police troops but it clearly looks like it's MP marked.
A very nice honest helmet that has seen combat for sure!
