US WW2 101st Airborne Division Grouping 'Matthew M. Stempkoski'
In a very good condition a stunning US WW2 101st Airborne Division Grouping on the name of Pfc Matthew M. Stempkoski' member of the 101st Airborne Division, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, G- Company.
Matthew was enlisted in 1941 and is a veteran of the Normandy, Rhineland (Holland), Ardennes and Central Europe Campaign.
He was awarded the EAME medal with 4 bronze campaign stars and the bronze arrowhead for the invasion.
During his wartime career he was next to the 501st PIR also a member of the 327th /401th GIR C-Company.
The grouping contains a large amount of items from Matthew:
-His service dress with all insignia original to the tunic included ribbonbars, Sterling silver gliderwing, CIB, Marksman career insignia, French and Dutch Lanyard.
-His WW2 service medals in it's original case with as highlight the bronze star named on the reverse side to matthew.
-A stunning T-5 reserve chestpack startup parachute from 1943 that is send home by matthew.
The original shippingbox were it was shipped with is it still inside.
-A polish cap badge probably got it as a gift from a polish soldier;
-A 101st airborne enlistment booklet;
-Various postcards, booklets and flyers from Bergtesgaden that he took as souvenir;
-Various German Propaganda books from Henrich Hoffmann called Adolf Hitler in seinen Bergen and Hitler in Polen;
-WW1 book 'So war es!';
-Book of the 'Berchtesgardener Land';
-German Cigaret Album 'Kampf um's Dritte Reich';
-German Göffel and more small items;
-Last but not least an original picture of Matthew in postcard size.
This is a very nice and hard to find grouping that is not on the marked everyday.
