Staffel/ Jagdgeschwader 52 (65 aerial victories), the Oakleves on October 26, 1942 as as Oberleutnant und Staffelkapitän of the 8. Staffel/ Jagdgeschwader 52 (65 aerial victories) and the swords on September 12, 1943 as Hauptmann und Gruppekommodore of the III. Gruppe/ Jagdgeschwader 52 (200 aerial victories).
