German LW M40 SD Helmet '29th Infantry Division' Trophy

In a stunning condition a German Luftwaffe M40 Single Decal Helmet.
The helmet comes in size 62 and has a 55 liner original attached.
The helmet is maker marked by Q, indicating production by F.W. Quist from Esslingen.
The helmet comes with a production number DN137 and has the luftwaffe decal for 98% visible without damage.
The helmet has on the inside still the original chinstrap present.
The outside of the shell is stunning painted at the end of the war by a probably french artist before the helmet was taken to the USA were it was discovered.
The helmet shall is nicely marked on the front with the US 29th Infantry Division "Blue and Gray" emblem with in front the text France Juin 6, 1944.
On top of the helmet are the places written were this unit was active: Elbe,Brittany,Normandie, Brest and St. Lo.
