In a very good condition an extreme hard to find US WW2 Yard Long Picture of the 82nd (Airborne) Division, 327th (Glider) Infantry Regiment G-Company!
This company picture comes in the original frame and has a size of 24x86cm!
The picture was taken by Spencer & Wyckoff Detroit Michigan in April 1942.
On 15 August 1942, the 82nd Infantry Division, commanded by Major General Ridgway, became the first airborne division in the history of the US Army, and was redesignated as the 82nd Airborne Division.
The division initially consisted of the 325th, 326th and 327th Infantry Regiments, and supporting units. The 327th was soon transferred to help form the 101st Airborne Division and became Gliderborne!
This unit and members on the yard long were the first members of the new 327th Glider unit.
A very rare and hard to find yard long!
