Dutch Waffen-SS KIA Letter 'Laurens Still' with extra
In a very good condition and extreme hard to find a fantastic letter on A4 size from the staff of the 'Germaanse SS in Nederland (Germanic SS in the Netherlands) to the mother of SS Sturmmann 'Laurens Stil' miss H.J. Stil living in Den Haad (The Hague).
The letter is dated August 28, 1944 and was send from the Germanic SS in the Netherlands office in Arnhem Holland.
The letter was send by 'Standartenführer der Germaansche SS Hauptsturmführer der Waffen-SS Henk Feldmeijer.
The letter contains the message that her son 'Laurens Stil, past away on the eastern front at July 1, 1944 at the Narwa Front at the Haupftverbandplatz in Narva.
Laurens was accourding our research a member of the SS-Regiment Westland who fought with great honor during the battle of Narva.
The letter is nicely pencil signed by SS-Standartenführer Feldmeijer and has on the left bottom the K-number of the Dutch NDSAP/NSB printing office.
Attached to the letter is the original envelop were the letter was found in on the address of the mother of Lauren Still and also from the Germanic SS in the Netherlands office in Arnhem Holland.
The letter was found years ago in the household of the family as also a very nice feldpost letter from Laurens was in the grouping.
The feldpostletter is nicely written on Dutch SS paper and is dated 9 March 1944.
We have attached to this stunning set an original large size portrait picture of SS-Standartenführer Feldmeijer, who signed the letter.
The picture comes in a size of approx 15x20cm and is on the reverse stamped by the NSB Picture office (Fotodienst NSB) in Utrecht.
This set is a very unique set from a past away Dutch SS Soldier who died on the eastern front.
Unique letter that we never have seen before and for sure belongs in a museum!
