US WW2 Published 82nd Airborne Division 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment Combat Helmet
In a very stunning condition an extreme hard to find US WW2 82nd Airborne Division 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) Combat Helmet.
The M1 fixed bale, front seam Mc Cord combat helmet is left behind after the war in the Belgium ardennes.
The helmet comes with the typical 508th PIR -1st battalion 'Fire Ball' decal on the left side.
The decal is for approx 95% visible in the standard red colour.
The helmet has on the inside the laundrynumber of the former soldier present.
Inside the helmet shell is a stunning matching 2nd pattern westinghouse paratrooper liner present.
The liner is in the early original paint and has clearly traces of wear and age.
Very hard to find original 82nd Airborne Division / 508th PIR combat helmet in a combat worn condition and comes straight from my own collection!
The helmet was published in the past in the French 'militaria' magazine.
