German SA M-1933 Officer's Dagger 'RZM M7/13'
In a very goodt condition a very nice M-1933 Sturmabteilung Officer's Dagger (Dienstdolch).
This example is made by Arthur Schüttelhofer & Co. from Solingen.
The grip is near perfect as far as these daggers go, with only light traces of use.
The SA roundel shows no loss of enamel.
The grip eagle is the aluminum type (correct) and shows no wear to the normal areas of the wreath and wings.
The upper and lower guards are the plated version and both show a level of age and oxidation.
At the top of the grip the pommel nut shows no signs of tampering, and has no swirl marks on the upper surface of the guard.
The blade has on the front the motto in a gray tone and surface of the blade is virtually flawless only some traces of dried grease.
The blade comes with a stunning crossgraining.
On the reverse we see the same condition, with the maker mark near the base of the blade in the same tone as the motto RZM M7/13.
The scabbard comes in a matching condition with the rest of the dagger. The brown painted scabbard body shows no scratches, and has managed to retain almost all of the original paint.
The fittings show the same tone as the guards and are virtually without flaw. This includes the tip ball, which shows no dents. All fitting screws are secure and show no signs of tampering.
Attached to the scabbard is a nice RZM M5/71 OLC marked hanger original to the dagger.
A very nice dagger!
