USAAF WW2 B-24H Liberator 'DNIF ANNIE' Load Adjuster Computer

In a very good condition a US Army Air Force WW2 B-24H Liberator Load Adjuster Computer of the B-24H Liberator named 'DNIF ANNIE' (42-51197)
Nicely maker marked by Cox & Stevens Aircraft Corp. Load adjuster for the B-24 Liberator bombers. Looks similar to a conventional slide rule but was used to ensure the correct weight distribution throughout the airframe depending on the amount of fuel, bombload etc. A bit grubby and with minor loss of the white plastic 'coating' in places. Also lacks the sliding 'cursor'. Complete with fully marked leather case with some minor damage on the opening.
This example comes with the number of the liberator and is dated June 1944.

The B-24HDNIF ANNIE 42-51197 crashed after a midair collision over England 20 July 1944.
4 members of the crew died on this collision: Ozbolt, King, Sherman and Baker.
Lassandro, Carter, Everett and Savoy survived this mishap. For Everett and Henahan it was only a temporary escape from death. They were killed in action 25 August 1944 when B-17G 43-37980 was shot down by flak over Rechlin airfield in Germany.

A very historic piece of this bomber.
