German WH 'Bergkaukasien' Legion Sleeve Shield

In a very good condition a German Wehrmacht (Heer) sleeve-shield as used by the volunteers of the 'Bergkaukasien' Legion (Ärmelschild).
In 1942 an identifying sleeve shield for members of the North Caucasian (Bergkaukasien) legion was introduced. The patch is showing a blue shield shaped base with in yellow a roundel with three horse heads below the script "Bergkaukasien". The shield is executed in the neat so-called BeVo weave style on a field-grey linnen background. The shield is in good mint and unissued condition showing only some minor staining caused by years of storage. Nice original Eastern Volunteer Sleeve Shield!
