SS-Oberscharführer Heinrich Gottke earned the Knight’s Cross as Vorausbeobachter of the 3. Batterie/ SS-Flak-Abteilung 17 of the 17. SS-Panzergrenadier-Division “Götz von Berlichingen” on December 17, 1944.
