Polish WW2 Armoured Division Black Beret 1943
In a very good condition and extreme hard to find a stunning Polish WW2 Armoured Division / Polish 2nd Panzer Corps Black Beret.
The beret comes in a nice headsize of approx size 56 and has the original Polish cap badge attached included the 2nd Armoured Division Flash of the 22nd Artillery Supply Company.
The cap is nicely maker marked on the inside lining by Kangol Wear Ltd and is dated 1943.
Very stunning detail is that the insignia is attached by a coin of British Palastine!
Approx 120.000 polish soldiers and civilians, primarily from 'Anders Army' arrived in British mandate Palastine between 1942-1943 after evacuated from Soviet Labor Camps.
They Re-equipped under British Command to form the Polish II Corps.
After their time in Palastine the majority of the Polish II Corps was moved to Italy to fight in the Italian Campaign, included the battle of Monte Cassino.
