US WW2 M3 Flak Helmet

In a very good condition a US WW2 M3 Flak Helmet as used by Bomber Crew's and Jump leaders.
The American M3 Flak Helmet was issued to bomber crews in late 1944 onwards to protect against shell splinters from anti aircraft fire whilst on missions.
Made of factory green painted steel the skull of the helmet has two hinged metal ear flaps & a tan canvas liner which is complete. Both ear flaps have their horse hair inner pads still attached and have the chinstrap in a still good working condition.
A very stunning piece of USAAF headgear!
