German KM Officers Kriegsmarine Dress Sword

In a very good condition a stunning German WW2 Kriegsmarine Officers Dress Sword.
The sword is made and marked by E & F Horster Solingen, superb example of the standard pattern German naval officers dress sword of WW2.
Fine white celluloid grip retaining the original wire binding. Gilt folding guard with central anchor, guard with fine relief, leading to the lion head pommel having set with green and red (port and starboard) jewelled eyes. Ferrule in the form of a band of oak leaves. Plain folding rear catch. Housed in its leather and brass mounted scabbard with two hanging rings. Fine curved pipe back blade, etched with sailing ships, foliage and anchor to one side, the other side having foliage, sailing ship and naval trophy with trident to centre. Blade has makers trade mark of E & F Horster Solingen. The blade remains in a good condition and nearly all the original fire gilt finish remains to the exterior fittings. A superb and hard to find example.
