German LW FSJ M38 SD Woodchip Camo Combat Helmet 3th FSJ Division

In a very stunning condition a German Luftwaffe Paratrooper (Fallschirmjäger) M38 Single Decal Camouflaged Combat Helmet.
The helmet comes in a good mannequin size 68 and is not visible maker marked but seen at the porductionnumber no doubt made by ET (CKL),(Eisenhüttenwerk AG, Thale Hartzuttenwerk AG, Thale).
Production number is 241.
The helmet has on the inside the complete lining and has the helmet straps still in a supple and good working condition, if the war just ended!!
The leather lining is original to the helmet and the complete helmet is as found so no replaced lining or chinstrap etc. All in great shape without damage!
On the outside the helmet has a stunning mint woodchip/sawdust camouflage painted for 99% without damage on a rough green colour base paint.
Stunning to see is the traces of a tarnnetz that was over it just after or during the painting process. Also traces of the Luftwaffe decal underneath the paint are visible.
The helmet retains up to 99% of its wartime applied sawdust camouflage paint without damage. The helmet is a typical camouflaged example as worn by members of the 3. Fallschirmjäger Division.
This division was active in battle in many campaigns and has an impressive list of battles fighting at Normandy, Saint Lo, Brest, Falaise, Arnhem, Hürtgenwald, the battle of the Bulge and many more places.
The helmet comes on the inside rim with the name of the owner Oberleutnant F. Essmann, 3. Kompanie (or Oberleutnant Fessmann)
